簡介/本書主要在介紹「高膽固血症」患者如何透過飲食與藥物防範動脈粥狀化引起的心血管疾病。其中由馬來西亞醫學研究所Choong Yew Keong博士撰寫的的〈第七章〉,詳細介紹了靈芝對高膽固醇血症的藥理功效、作用機制和活性成分,以及靈芝降血壓、抗氧化、保肝等作用在其中扮演的角色。作者並在結論中指出,雖然科學上還有一些細節需要釐清,但成分多元的靈芝萃取物肯定不會有有單一藥物那般副作用。
